8 Most expensive But Cool Looking Gadgets

Made by Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome, The Moon Dust Watch is the only gadget on this list so far that has piqued our interest. This is because the face contains real moon dust and parts from The Apollo 11 rocket. At prices which start at $15,000 it's completely beyond our reach. Still if you could afford it you could probably justify the cost to yourself because at least the manufacture of this device involved a trip to the moon.
At the top end of the laptop spectrum is this luxury item. Rumoured to go for around a cool million dollars, it's crafted by bespoke technology designers Luvaglio.

We'd love to check out the specs on this beautifully crafted piece of equipment but online reports about its details are speculative. Meetings with Luvaglio are handled by appointment only - and that seems to include their website
. Dubbed "The World's Thinnest Laptop" the Dell Adamo was first showcased at the beginning of the year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2009 in Las Vegas. Prices start at around £2,000, and admittedly that's small potatos for this list. However with no jewel encrusted trimmings we're forced to consider it purely on its technical specifications and, while the Adamo is pretty, it costs a lot for what you get. And then, of course, there's all the pretentious advertising that surrounds it...
British mobile phone makers Vertu cater to a very small and exclusive (read: fantastically rich) client base. Prices start at around $5,100 and go as high as $88,000 - the most expensive model ever made was the Signature Cobra ($310,000). Vertu phone are stocked in department stores such as Harrods and Selfridges.
TrekStor's site bills this i.Beat organix Gold as the most expensive MP3 player in the world. Well, it is cast in 18 carat gold and adorned with 63 1-carat diamonds. It also boasts 2GB of memory.
Most men would have a hard enough time convincing their other halves that an Xbox 360 console is an essential household item to start with (even though it is). So imagine the uphill battle a bloke would have if he bought this item: an Xbox 360 skinned in 43,000 crystals depicting Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, which costs $11,000 (or around £6,670)
This diamond-encrusted mouse from Fabstuff is available in yellow, red or white gold with white or black trim. Marketed as the "perfect gift for a 60th wedding anniversary" this mouse is sold for around £14,400.
The world most expensive iPhone is an Apple iPhone 3G made of 18 carat gold and encrusted with diamonds. It was designed by Austrian jeweller Peter Aloisson and priced at £1.6 million.Source
